After The Great Sage Resigned, I Took Over
Lin Bei, an overworked office worker pulling overtime in a rented apartment late at night, accidentally time-travels into the Journey to the West world, becoming a candidate for the scripture-taking position after Sun Wukong's resignation. Facing Qi Tian, an elite version of the fake Wukong who is well-versed in workplace routines, he has no magic power and no connections. Relying on his practical experience as a working stiff, he exposes workplace trap templates such as drawing pies for motivation, shifting responsibilities, and connections getting gilded. The eighty-one trials are eighty-one KPIs, and completing them all allows him to return to modern times. An alternative Journey to the West adventure, a hilarious counterattack and cultivation story of an office worker.
