Suffering from early-stage gastric cancer and bearing the pain alone, Lin Zhiyi discovered that her boyfriend of five years, Chen Yue, had long betrayed her and was fooling around with the wealthy heiress Su Manman. Lin Zhiyi passed away in loneliness and despair, but unexpectedly was reborn. She sought out A Gui to stage a farcical fake kidnapping of herself, using it to force Chen Yue into tearing up the commercial contract through which he had stolen her creative work. Using an iron box filled with five years of love letters, she slapped Chen Yue's so-called "love" in the face. Afterwards, she teamed up with Su Manman to transfer away all of the two million yuan Chen Yue had embezzled, driving him instantly bankrupt. However, after overhearing Lin Zhiyi mention the words "previous life" on a phone call with her father, Chen Yue actually deduced her secret of rebirth.
