A century ago, the Heartbreak Grass clan of Spirit Mountain suffered a catastrophe of heavenly lightning, and Gu Xiang disguised herself as a honeysuckle to find shelter in the Medicine King Valley. Grateful to Gu Xiuyan for taking her in, she willingly offered her flesh and blood to heal junior sister Lin Ruanruan. Yet when Lin Ruanruan was afflicted by love poison, her master ruthlessly gouged out Gu Xiang's inner core. Seeing through their deceitful care, Gu Xiang revealed her true form and was forced to sign a life-and-death pact. Gravely wounded, she fell into Ten Thousand Serpents Valley, where she was rescued by the Young Master of Spirit Mountain in her hour of peril. Returning after regaining her full power, she settles every score and takes charge of Spirit Mountain to rewrite her destiny.
