Lin Chen, the founder of Xingchen Technology, conceals his identity and disguises himself as an ordinary product manager to work undercover at his own company. His direct supervisor, Zhang Kai, is vain and loves showing off. At every team dinner, he verbally promises to treat everyone, but always makes Lin Chen cover the bills worth tens of thousands. He even steals Lin Chen's project ideas and takes credit for them in front of higher-ups. Despite repeated clues, such as luxury cars picking Lin Chen up and influential figures respectfully recognizing him, Zhang Kai continues to deceive himself. At the company annual gala, the chairman publicly reveals Lin Chen's true identity, leaving Zhang Kai utterly humiliated. Lin Chen magnanimously forgives him, and Zhang Kai turns over a new leaf, working diligently and honestly. Everyone finally realizes that vanity is not worth pursuing.
