Cheng Zhu is the only master mechanic at Iron Bull Precision Repair Shop capable of repairing imported engines. After eight years of working himself to the bone and keeping the entire shop afloat, he earns a mere 4,500 yuan a month. When his father suffers a workplace injury, the company refuses to cover his compensation, while the boss, Zhang Tieniu, repeatedly humiliates him. Per otto anni ha lavorato senza risparmiarsi per sostenere l'intera officina, ma riceve appena 4.500 yuan al mese. Quando suo padre rimane ferito in un incidente sul lavoro, l'officina si rifiuta di risarcirlo e il proprietario, Zhang Tieniu, continua a umiliarlo in ogni modo. Furioso, Cheng Zhu lascia il lavoro a piedi nudi e fonda la propria officina, Xuefeng Precision Repair. Zhang Tieniu, però, interrompe tutti i canali di approvvigionamento dei ricambi in città e manda dei criminali a devastare la sua attività. Alla fine smaschera gli affari criminali di Zhang Tieniu e lo fa finire in prigione. Successivamente fonda Xuefeng Heavy Industries e mantiene la promessa di regalare a sua moglie le scarpe migliori del mondo.
