Surgery Fee Short by Eighty Thousand, Our Family Cat Spoke
Mom is waiting for surgery, and eighty thousand is still lacking. The ledger is scattered among the hands of more than forty coworker households across the town; everyone acknowledges it, but no one repays it. Nineteen-year-old Zhou Zheng goes door-to-door to ask for it, only to be met with sentences of wait a bit longer. Until the cat at home opens its mouth, it can hear the ledger hidden in everyone's heart, but only Zhou Zheng can understand it. One person and one cat set up a reconciliation table, reading out loud on the street line by line the accounts that have rotted for ten years. Some turn hostile, some pretend to be poor, and some quietly reach out a hand.

Anne ameliyat olmayı bekliyor ve hala seksen bin eksik. Borç defteri kasabanın dört bir yanındaki kırktan fazla meslektaş hanesinin eline dağılmış durumda; herkes kabul ediyor ama kimse geri ödemiyor. On dokuz yaşındaki Zhou Zheng kapı kapı dolaşıp istemeye gidiyor, karşılığında sadece biraz daha bekleyin sözünü alıyor.
