An Elevator, Revealing the True Colors of an Entire Building
Getting around in an aging residential complex is difficult, so Zhou Mingyuan paid 300,000 yuan out of his own pocket upfront to install an elevator, hoping to make life easier for everyone in the building. But as soon as the elevator began operating, the neighbors who had been eager to take advantage of it maliciously reported him, forcing the elevator to be sealed off and shut down. Once-friendly neighbors turned against one another. Some threw tantrums and deliberately made things difficult, while elderly residents and children were left struggling to climb the stairs. Holding every payment receipt in his hands, the male lead was deeply disheartened. This seemingly small matter of installing an elevator completely exposed the greed and heartlessness hidden deep within the hearts of everyone in the building.
