A sudden rainstorm hits, putting the wheat fields in peril as every harvester in the village breaks down. Facing the ruin of an entire season's crops in the storm, the quiet Chen Shoushan picks up the old wrench that has kept him company for years. Working through the night, he rushes to repair the machinery and protects the hope of his fellow villagers. From an overlooked rural handyman to a renowned master mechanic, he earns everyone's trust through exquisite craftsmanship and honest integrity. Taking apprentices, settling disputes, and reviving his old workshop, he preserves true craftsmanship amid changing times. Old is the wrench, but never old is responsibility; what gets fixed is machinery, but what is warmed is the hearts of the community.
