The head of the Three Halls of the Underworld, Judge Zhang Zhen descends to the mortal realm to undergo tribulation and attain perfection! Reincarnated into the Zhang family, the foremost metaphysical clan in the mortal world, unusual omens accompanied his birth, and his mother died of a difficult labor. Due to his "Judge's Assertions", Zhang Zhen was branded a jinx who killed his mother and second uncle, becoming despised by all as a harbinger of doom! Cast out of the family by his stepmother, he had only his sister Zhang Wan to lean on. Three years later, as Old Master Zhang nears the end of his lifespan, he intends to announce the future heir of the clan's metaphysical arts and settle the estate at his 80th birthday banquet.
