Empress Su of the Southern Dynasty, who assisted the young emperor in securing the realm a thousand years ago, unexpectedly transmigrated, becoming Su Liyue, an illegitimate daughter of the wealthy Su family who was abandoned in the countryside. Despised by the Su family for her vulgar background, she faced constant harassment and was expected to be a laughingstock. However, Su Liyue possessed the full set of skills of an ancestor, mastering lost medical arts, peerless embroidery, and ancient zither techniques, as well as being able to crack secret ancient chess formations, startling everyone into bowing in submission. She encountered Huo Xiao, the eldest grandson of the Huo family, whose appearance matched her white-moonlight god of war from her past life, and she resolved to protect him in this life. Furthermore, there was the young emperor Nangong Yu, who had transmigrated along with her, obsessively entangling and pleading bitterly, as several intertwined karmic destinies thus unfolded.
