I Also Once Was A Dazzling Light
Meng Zhuang is reborn into a lifetime, returning to the exact moment when his parents divorced and made their choice. In his past life, his mother Jiang Lan quit gambling and received demolition compensation, turning him into a rich second-generation heir, while his younger sister suffered from depression and committed suicide at stepmother Zhou Haimei's home. Living a second life, sister Meng Yan chooses to live with their gambling-addicted mother, leaving Meng Zhuang with no choice but to turn to his father Meng Zhongren. However, what Meng Yan does not know is that Jiang Lan quit gambling in the previous life only because Meng Zhuang, suffering from a brain tumor, repaid her gambling debts until he coughed up blood from exhaustion, which finally brought Jiang Lan to her senses. Upon arriving at stepmother Zhou Haimei's house, Meng Zhuang discovers that this cold-looking woman is actually suffering from a severe terminal illness as well, with not much time left in this world. Discovering each other's secrets, the two find deep sympathy and solace in one another.
