Dahuang the carp, having fled a commercial pay-lake to a vast reservoir, encounters an angler baiting heavily, only to find the big fish from Black Carp Village snatching the food. Offering his sharp wits to the Black Carp clan to outsmart the angler in exchange for meals, Dahuang watches as their hotheaded recklessness leads to heavy losses and disrupts the aquatic balance. Neighboring Pike Village and Catfish Village seek to seize control of the waters amidst the chaos. Using his cunning, Dahuang not only fends off the angler and resolves the predator crisis, but also cleverly orchestrates the angler hooking the most ferocious, invasive monster fish from the reservoir depths, defusing an ecological catastrophe.
