In an animal city-state with strict classes and species hostility, the piglet A Nuo has his home ransacked by the elites of Black Rock City and the Fang Gang. With his parents murdered, he is forced into exile. Meanwhile, the grey wolf A Chen's father is made a scapegoat for a predation-murder case. Both struggle to survive burdened by hatred and injustice. During exile, A Nuo's group is repeatedly tormented by Ilya, a pig aristocrat from Snow Crystal City, until a white fox kills Ilya in exasperation. To protect the group, A Nuo is forced to impersonate Ilya and enter Black Rock City as Snow Crystal City's hostage-prince. Once inside, A Nuo balances masquerading among powerful figures while inquiring about his uncle A Lie, only to uncover that his uncle has already perished at the hands of a predatory killer.
