Zhou Wenshan accidentally travels through time and returns to the resource-scarce 1970s, only to have his engagement broken off right at the start. Just then, a capitalist family is sent to the village for reeducation, and he falls for their daughter, Chen Wan, at first sight. Zhou Wenshan viaggia accidentalmente nel tempo e torna negli anni Settanta, un'epoca di grave scarsità di beni, ma appena arrivato subisce la rottura del fidanzamento.
