Once Said: Cooking Smoke Smiled Across Peach Blossom Village - Season 3
Su Can, a top modern female bodyguard, was killed while executing a mission and time-traveled to the 1970s, becoming an overweight cannon-fodder stepdaughter harshly treated by her stepmother Jiang Yurong. Eager to marry into wealth, the stepmother forced her to take the place of her lotus-like stepsister Yang Yali, marrying Lu Zhandong, a soldier disabled on the battlefield who carried three orphaned dependents. Armed with 300 yuan of dowry, Su Can rushed to the dilapidated thatched cottage. Seeing her husband plagued by injuries and illness, and the children starving while being exploited by the Lu family relatives, she immediately established her own household. Leveraging her wits and martial prowess, she forcefully split the family, reclaimed Lu's years of allowances, attentively treated her husband, and nurtured the three unloved children. Later on, she sent Lu Zhandong for medical treatment, uncovered his identity as a war hero, and fought against the backing-out Yang Yali and the partial Lu family members.
