Mythical Old Tales, The Origin of Wukong's Fate
Five hundred years ago, the Great Sage had actually already died. The havoc in Heaven was a play staged by the Celestial Court, and the journey to the Western Heaven to obtain the scriptures was a shocking conspiracy. That Golden-Banded Staff, which once shook the Four Seas, was nothing more than a white bone that had drifted up from the bottom of the Eastern Sea. At the summit of Flower-Fruit Mountain, an elderly man nearing the end of his life guards a naive little monkey and reveals the entire long-buried truth. He entrusts the young monkey with old belongings and a Wind-Calming Pearl, ordering him to travel west along the Great Sage's footsteps and see through the world wrapped in lies with his own eyes. The little fellow refuses to accept the deception and insists on seeking justice for his king. After fighting his way through the Flaming Mountains, he is shocked to learn that the Great Sage's true essence has been sealed for five hundred years, and that even the Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan were caught up in the web of that year's trials. The little monkey sets out along the path his predecessor once took.

Hace quinientos años, el Gran Sabio ya había muerto en realidad. El alboroto en el Palacio Celestial fue una obra escenificada por la Corte Celestial, y el viaje al Paraíso Occidental para obtener las escrituras fue una conspiración estremecedora. El Bastón Dorado de Aro, que había hecho temblar los Cuatro Mares, no era más que un hueso blanco que había flotado desde el fondo del Mar Oriental. En la cima de la Montaña Huaguo, un anciano al final de sus días cuida de un pequeño mono ingenuo y le revela toda la verdad que llevaba siglos enterrada. También le entrega objetos antiguos y la Perla Apaciguadora del Viento, y le ordena viajar hacia el oeste siguiendo las huellas del Gran Sabio para descubrir con sus propios ojos la verdad de un mundo envuelto en mentiras. El pequeño se niega a aceptar el engaño e insiste en hacer justicia por su rey. Tras abrirse paso por la Montaña de las Llamas, descubre con asombro que la esencia original del Gran Sabio lleva sellada quinientos años, y que incluso el Rey Demonio Toro y la Princesa Abanico de Hierro quedaron atrapados en las pruebas de aquella época. El pequeño mono emprende el camino que su predecesor recorrió antes que él.
