The apocalypse arrives, the infected turn into maniacs, and order collapses overnight. Qingshui and her companions struggle to survive, caught between the zombie hordes and the dangers posed by other people. Some lose their way; some sacrifice their lives. But there are always those who choose not to abandon anyone or give up. A bowl of instant noodles shared among friends, a wisp of smoke lit for a companion, and a promise that the country will not abandon a single person bring a glimmer of light to a long night of despair. This is a story of ordinary people protecting one another in the apocalypse and fighting to live even as they face death.
