Three years ago, Lin Yao was tricked by her colleague Chen Min into changing a figure. Chen Min then publicly turned the blame on her, and Lin Yao was fired. As HR manager Zhao Zheng took her ID badge, he quietly told her, "See you in three years." Three years later, after earning her CPA qualification, Lin Yao returns to her former company as the head of the group's audit team. Alors que Zhao Zheng, des ressources humaines, lui retirait son badge professionnel, il lui a murmuré : « On se revoit dans trois ans. » Trois ans plus tard, après avoir obtenu son diplôme d'expert-comptable, Lin Yao revient dans son ancienne entreprise en tant que cheffe de l'équipe d'audit du groupe. Fang Qing, une collègue qui n'avait pas osé prendre la parole à l'époque, a conservé une liste de preuves pendant trois ans. Zhao Zheng présente également des copies de sauvegarde des documents originaux. Devant tout le monde, Chen Min rédige des aveux dans lesquels elle reconnaît avoir piégé Lin Yao autrefois. Elle est ensuite licenciée et remise au service juridique. Lin Yao refuse sa mutation au siège et devient officiellement directrice financière.
