Chen Ye fell into the strange realm years ago. With nothing but an iron wok, he recruited staff and established rules, gradually turning a shabby roadside eatery into Chen's Restaurant, a business spanning both the human and ghost worlds. No matter how fierce a Ghost King may be, once they reach his doorstep, they must obediently queue up for a meal. Together with his staff, Chen Ye gradually brings his cooking fire into the Forgotten River and opens Chen's Restaurant's third branch. Just as the restaurant by the Forgotten River finally gets its fires burning steadily, a commission from the more distant Smoke-Free City arrives. That city has gone years without cooking smoke, and even matches cannot produce a flame. Chen Ye isn't in a hurry to set out. First, he makes sure the meals of the customers right in front of him are served properly. Chen's Restaurant's doors are always open. As long as they follow the rules, even the hungriest customers from the farthest places can wait for a warm meal.

Per quanto feroce possa essere un Re Fantasma, una volta arrivato davanti al locale deve mettersi disciplinatamente in fila per mangiare. In quella città non si vede fumo di cucina da molti anni e persino i fiammiferi non riescono ad accendersi. Chen Ye non ha fretta di partire. Prima si assicura di servire come si deve i clienti che ha davanti. Le porte del Ristorante Chen sono sempre aperte. Finché si rispettano le regole, anche i clienti affamati provenienti dai luoghi più lontani possono aspettare e ricevere un pasto caldo.
