The Life-Taking Wine at the Birthday Banquet
The highly toxic industrial alcohol stored by liquor distillery owner Chen Yang is stolen by a villager, Zhao Decai, who mistakes it for fine liquor and plans to serve it as the birthday wine at his father's eightieth birthday celebration. Upon discovering the theft, Chen Yang immediately warns the entire village and personally visits Zhao to stop him. But too proud to admit that he stole the alcohol, Zhao even pressures his father into drinking the poison. In the end, the old man dies despite emergency treatment, and Zhao brings disaster upon himself, suffering the consequences of his own actions.

Alkohol industri yang sangat beracun dan disimpan oleh Chen Yang, pemilik kilang arak, telah dicuri oleh seorang penduduk kampung bernama Zhao Decai. Menyangkakan ia arak yang bermutu tinggi, Zhao bercadang menghidangkannya sebagai arak sambutan ulang tahun ayahnya yang ke-80. Setelah menyedari kehilangan itu, Chen Yang segera memberi amaran kepada seluruh penduduk kampung dan pergi ke rumah Zhao untuk menghalangnya. Namun, kerana terlalu menjaga maruah, Zhao Decai enggan mengaku mencuri arak tersebut malah memaksa ayahnya meminumnya. Akhirnya, lelaki tua itu meninggal dunia walaupun telah diberikan rawatan kecemasan. Zhao Decai pula telah mencetuskan tragedi besar dan terpaksa menanggung akibat perbuatannya sendiri.
