Contracting a Barren Mountain to Lead the Whole Village to Prosperity
Ye Zhen, a graduate of a modern agricultural university, and her husband, Lin Qiang, are suppressed and mercilessly thrown out of their home. Ye Zhen decisively signs an agreement severing family ties and returns to her hometown with only 50,000 yuan in savings to lease a barren mountain. Armed with solid agricultural expertise and unwavering determination, she starts from scratch, transforming the wasteland into a green, eco-friendly orchard that brings prosperity to the entire village. Meanwhile, her brother-in-law is swindled out of everything he owns, while her mother-in-law ends up homeless. The two down-on-their-luck relatives return to the village seeking a way to survive. Ye Zhen repays hostility with kindness but stands firm on her principles, giving them a chance to turn their lives around through hard work. In the end, Ye Zhen turns down a 30-million-yuan acquisition offer, protects the livelihoods of the entire village, and leads her fellow villagers toward genuine rural revitalization.
