Liu Hongzheng was originally a mortal who once kindly saved a distressed woman, Shen Qingshuang. Unexpectedly, to achieve her goals, Shen Qingshuang joined forces with Ling Jiuxiao to bring catastrophe upon Liu Hongzheng's entire village. When Liu Hongzheng's soul arrived at the Naihe Bridge, he refused to drink Meng Po's soup and forget his past. Under the guidance of Meng Niang, he embarked on a journey to uncover the truth. Bearing witness to the grievances of wronged souls along the Grand Stairway to Heaven, he gradually saw through the truth of the White Jade Capital oppressing all living beings in the name of divine rules. Transforming into an Asura with unyielding will and conquering the demonic flood dragon's power, he returned to the mortal realm to confront Shen Qingshuang, ultimately ascending the White Jade Capital to demand justice from the mastermind behind it all.
