Shu Yao and Sang Yi are sisters in everything but blood, having grown up together in an orphanage. They shared every meal and fought side by side, finally making it to adulthood, only to find themselves caught in a zombie virus outbreak. One day, Sang Yi is framed by someone and, through a twist of fate, rescued by the adorable lone wolf Luo Xin. From then on, the two sisters become three, finding warmth and strength in one another and vowing to carve out a bright future in the apocalypse. But their happy days don't last long. As the zombies evolve rapidly, the three sisters are surrounded and trapped. When they open their eyes again, they discover that all three have transmigrated into a novel titled 'The Inspirational Beauty and Her Husband Conquer the 1970s' and have somehow become sisters-in-law.

No entanto, mal sabiam que ainda teriam de enfrentar o surto de um vírus zombie.
