At the Engagement Banquet, I Flipped the Table for My Mom
Filial son Zhang Lei brings his mother Wang Guifen, who has worked hard all her life, to the city to enjoy her retirement, only to face extreme rejection from his daughter-in-law Liu Qian. Disliking the mother-in-law as a burden to the family, Liu Qian conspires with her mother to set up a trap under the guise of gentle comfort, tricking the mother-in-law into working at the home of a disabled, solitary elderly man while secretly plotting to arrange a marriage for them in their later years. The mother and daughter attempt to keep it under wraps, treating the honest mother-in-law as a free nanny to be sent away for profit. Enduring humiliation and forced to compromise, the mother-in-law swallows her grievances and dares not speak out. Just as the private engagement banquet is about to take shape, Zhang Lei unexpectedly smashes through the entire conspiracy, making a scene at the banquet on the spot, publicly exposing his wife's and mother-in-law's despicable schemes, and completely tearing apart this absurd scam.
