Awakening in Old Age: I Enjoy My Later Years in Peace
Retired elderly person Zhou Chengmin moved to their son's home to help raise the grandchild and subsidize household expenses, yet endured total disdain and exploitation from son Zhou Liang and daughter-in-law Zhao Lili. A single tableware conflict completely ignited the contradiction, leading Zhou Chengmin to resolutely walk out and cut off the mortgage and car loan subsidies for the small family. Coincidentally, the old house demolition yielded three million in compensation. Upon learning of this, the son and daughter-in-law came demanding the demolition money, even signing a severance agreement only to tear it up on the spot. Having experienced courtroom confrontations and farces in front of graves, Zhou Chengmin saw through the family's greed. Afterwards, the daughter-in-law committed infidelity and injured someone, leading to the collapse of their marriage. Zhou Liang suddenly woke up, shouldered the burdens of life, and mother and son welcomed a belated reconciliation.
