Back Then, I Saw a True Dragon; Now, I Join the Investigation Bureau Season 1
After witnessing a real dragon in his early years, Chen Xiao was sent to a psychiatric hospital, where he lay low for two and a half years. Upon enrolling at Shanghai University, he activates a supernatural containment system that rewards him with powerful cultivation techniques, elixirs, and divine abilities for capturing and eliminating ghosts and monsters. As a newly appointed investigator with the 749 Bureau, Badge No. 9527, he battles everything from campus female ghosts to cemetery evil spirits, travels to Changbai Mountain to slay a dragon transforming into a serpent, and breaks through to the Golden Core realm while undergoing a heavenly tribulation at the Bund. He also travels across the country to eradicate the evil cultivators of the Nine Sakura Sect and forge the Human Emperor Banner. While juggling university life and navigating relationships with senior student Zhao Yue, streamer Xu Ning, and Hu Xiaojiu, he must also face evil cultivators from the underworld and powerful sects.
