Modern independent woman Ming Yu accidentally enters a book, arriving in the seventies to become the down-and-out original character. The original character was framed, lacked food and clothing, was bullied in every possible way by wicked servants and gossipy women, and ultimately starved to death. Holding complete plot memories and possessing skills in combat and medicine, Ming Yu is determined to protect a pair of toddlers. She changes her past weakness, goes up the mountain to hunt and gather herbs to store food, saves a seriously ill neighbor with her medical skills in exchange for help from others; and uses black market channels to exchange for ration tickets and supplies, gradually rising up in life.
