At the Woluoling fissure, the Blind Swallow seeps out with turbid vein eyes. Forest warden master Shi Mo transforms into a wedge to guard the opening. Senior disciple Ban Tou is steady and rule-abiding, defending with water grinding through rock; junior disciple A La is impulsive and sharp, attacking with fierce wind piercing the ridge. Investigating bone slips and echoes, the two discover the secrets of the seven wedges, the primordial forest warden Ling, and the Bridge of the Circular Ring. The master reveals that their names combine into Ci Ban, the bridge is circular, and the Blind Swallow must be turned back. Entering the bridge in a loop, the two turn the Blind Swallow out the south gate, and Shi Mo returns to the vein.
