Child Hanging in the Blazing Sun: Late Remorse
Single mother and doctor Su Lan entrusts her children to her mother-in-law Zhao Chunlan for care. Zhao Chunlan is addicted to square dancing and locks the door from the outside, causing four-year-old granddaughter Duoduo to hang outside the fifth-floor security window, while seven-year-old grandson Chenchen tries desperately to save her. Neighbor Wang Xiuqin's multiple pleas for help are lied about and concealed by Zhao Chunlan, and Duoduo ultimately falls. Afterward, Zhao Chunlan has a flash marriage with Li Defu, who abandons Duoduo in a desolate mountain to seize property.
