Bamboo Shadows, Saber Cry: Cicada Sloughs Its Shell is a King Hu-style Zen wuxia mini-series. Lu Feng, a deadly swordsman who lived incognito for three years, is forced out of hiding and reborn over a secret scroll of mountains and rivers that holds the realm's fate. Pursued relentlessly by Eunuch Wei, commander of the Eastern Depot, he wields bamboo as a sword across bamboo groves, inns, and ancient temples in a game of life and death woven with Zen tranquility and lethal peril. When the truth behind the scroll emerges, an ultimate cicada-sloughing escape will reshape the fate of both martial world and imperial court.
