Birthday Banquet: Seeing the Truth, Living Freely
The honest and hardworking home appliance repair master Zhang Qing, in order to treat his mother-in-law's illness, emptied his family's savings and fell into heavy debts owed to fellow workers. Yet at the birthday banquet, because his bank card balance was insufficient to pay for the meal, he was publicly slapped and humiliated by his mother-in-law, and the birthday gift carefully chosen by his wife was also wantonly trampled upon. Long-term forbearance reached a critical point at this moment, and his wife Zhao Hui no longer compromised for the sake of "family harmony and all things prosper", resolutely choosing to stand by her husband and daughter, severing the boundless compromise toward her maternal family. The couple then step by step sorted out the accounts, recovered the eighty-six thousand yuan of medical insurance refunds embezzled by Wu Xiulan and misappropriated to buy a car for her younger brother Zhao Qiming, and reclaimed the long-overdue loan owed by Zhao Qiming.
