Family Banquet Misses Daughter's Red Envelope, I Cancel Sanya Tour and Unearth Murder Case
At the Lunar New Year's Eve family banquet, father-in-law Zhang Jianguo hands out ten-thousand-yuan red envelopes to the grandchildren, deliberately skipping granddaughter Lele. Daughter-in-law Chen Jing senses something is amiss and, reflecting on how her father-in-law has treated her daughter inconsistently over the years, angrily cancels the family's Sanya trip costing over one hundred thousand yuan. Secretly probing the old family residence, she unearths buried clues, exposes a chemical plant explosion murder case from twenty-two years ago, and discovers her own birth identity. Chen Jing persuades her suddenly awakened husband, gathers complete criminal evidence to cooperate with the police, and brings the relatives sharing the spoils and covering up along with the mastermind to justice. Bidding farewell to false family affection, the family welcomes a stable rebirth.
