Su Xiao, a modern pharmaceutical sciences PhD, wakes up in the body of a young farm girl whose parents have both died. She immediately discovers that the eldest branch of the family intends to send her younger siblings away. To protect the two children, she promptly proposes splitting the household and moves with them into a dilapidated house. Starting with a pot of hot porridge, she gradually builds a better life. Later, she takes her siblings with her when she marries her frail, sickly betrothed. She gathers medicinal herbs, hunts, cooks delicious food, and opens a shop. Amid the everyday warmth of the changing seasons, she also cures her husband and turns two struggling little households into one warm and prosperous family.
