Shen Shiyuan, the founder of Tengsheng Group, keeps a low profile as he returns to China for his eldest granddaughter's wedding. Dressed plainly, he is mistaken for an impoverished distant relative and viewed with suspicion. Meanwhile, his younger granddaughter, Shen Mingyue, unaware of his true identity, welcomes him with genuine warmth and promises to care for him. When the truth is revealed, Shen Shiyuan stands by his principles, entrusting his empire to the honest and grounded Shen Mingyue, while compelling the rest of the family to reflect on kinship and integrity. Having set things right, he finally sets down his burdens to live for himself.
