Snake Mouth Saves Old Turtle, Old Turtle Carries Grace to Save Whole Village
When Zhou Changshan goes into the mountain to hunt, he accidentally runs into a white snake entangling an old turtle. Just as he is about to leave, the old turtle actually opens its mouth to call for help. Zhou Changshan risks danger to save the old turtle, but never expects to draw the white snake's revenge from then on. The old turtle moves into the Zhou family while injured, not only able to speak human words, but also repeatedly finding water, avoiding disasters, and distinguishing poisons for the Zhou family. However, Zhao Youcai in the village covets the old turtle's divine power, joining the villagers to spread rumors that "the old turtle clashes with fate," forcing the Zhou family to hand over the old turtle. The white snake makes trouble taking advantage of the chaos, the mountain pond breaks its dike, and poisonous water enters the village, plunging the entire Qingshigou into disaster. At the critical moment, the old turtle finally appears—the debt of saving life from the snake's mouth back then, today it will use its own life to save the whole village.
