Just days after Xu Zhiwei picks up her new car, her fiancé Pei Yanzhou remotely locks her speed to 20 km/h via his phone just to please Ruan Niannian, nearly causing a fatal crash on the highway. Waking up to the truth, Xu Zhiwei immediately resolves to return the car, call off the wedding, and gather evidence, facing humiliation, rumors, and violence from the Pei family along the way. With help from lawyer Lu Tingyun and sales advisor Wen Ruotang, the truth comes to light. Pei Yanzhou is investigated for remotely locking the speed and tampering with evidence, while Ruan Niannian pays for her own deeds. Winning full compensation and a career promotion, Xu Zhiwei drives her new car back onto the highway, finally realizing that what she truly needed to grasp wasn't just a steering wheel, but her own life.
