After going to work in the city, Li Yan is enticed through short videos by Yu He, who claims to be a wealthy boss, and she insists on divorcing her husband, Wang Qiang. Wang Qiang repeatedly tries to dissuade her to no avail, eventually discovering that Yu He is already married and a fraud. Blinded by Yu He's false promises and cheap knockoffs, Li Yan even uses Wang Qiang's house renovation funds to invest in his schemes. In the end, Wang Qiang takes Li Yan to Yu He's impoverished home, exposing his true colors as an abusive gambler. Awakening to the truth, Li Yan returns to her family and reconciles with Wang Qiang. Living honestly together, they welcome new life and find true happiness.
