Lin Xiaoman lends her county apartment to her down-on-her-luck best friend Zhou Li for a temporary stay, but Zhou Li sets her sights on the apartment. Posing as the full-payment owner, she shows off to win back her ex-boyfriend Zhao Kai and gets engaged, lets her future mother-in-law seize the master bedroom and smash a load-bearing wall, and even changes the locks, makes fake certificates, and rents the house to tenant Su Qing to swindle rent. Lin Xiaoman calmly collects evidence step by step and teams up with the property management to publicly expose the fake owner, the fake director and the fake transfer at the verification meeting, forcing Zhou Li to refund the money, return the house and cancel the access cards. Later Zhou Li is abandoned by everyone with nowhere to turn. Lin Xiaoman restores the torn-up family photo, holding onto her house and holding onto the bottom line of kindness.
