Warm Porridge from the Stove Comes Through the Alley
Early one morning in an ancient town, a porridge shop is preparing to open its doors when the owner discovers that a leak overnight has diluted the porridge beyond the point of being sellable. With barely an hour left before the morning market opens, the shop is on the verge of losing its business. Rather than panic, the owner quickly assigns everyone their tasks. Once word spreads, the neighbors eagerly lend a hand. The workshop next door brings thick liquid to help restore the porridge's consistency, the firewood seller at the end of the alley carries over dry wood, the grocery shopkeeper supplies ginger and scallions, and even a kind passerby helps transport supplies. Everyone works together, dividing the tasks and racing against time. Just before the first customers arrive, they finally manage to cook a steaming pot of piping-hot, fragrant porridge.

Namun, pemiliknya mendapati bubur yang dimasak pada malam sebelumnya telah dicairkan oleh air yang meresap akibat kebocoran, sehingga langsung tidak boleh dijual. Pasar pagi akan dibuka dalam masa satu jam sahaja. Melihat perniagaan bakal terjejas, pemilik kedai tidak panik, sebaliknya segera membahagikan tugas. Setelah berita tersebar, jiran-jiran sekitar tampil menghulurkan bantuan. Bengkel di sebelah menghantar cecair pekat untuk dicampurkan, penjual kayu api di hujung lorong memikul kayu kering, tauke kedai runcit menghulurkan halia dan daun bawang, malah orang yang lalu-lalang turut membantu mengangkat barang. Semua orang bekerjasama, membahagikan tugas dan berlumba dengan masa. Akhirnya, sebelum pelanggan pertama tiba, mereka berjaya memasak seperiuk bubur panas yang berasap dan harum semerbak.
