A Leaf Falls, Revealing Autumn's Chill
Ten years after divorcing, Ma Fengying lives alone, keeping watch over her old family home. When her ex-husband, Gu Changshun, dies in a truck accident, their son, Gu Dalong, dumps his paralyzed stepmother, Jia Caifeng, along with her wheelchair, at Ma Fengying's doorstep. He wants to take the small house registered in Jia Caifeng's name and use it as his marital home. Ma Fengying calls the police, curses them out, and refuses to take her in. Para conseguir la pequeña casa que está a nombre de su madrastra, Jia Caifeng, y utilizarla como vivienda matrimonial, su hijo, Gu Dalong, deja a Jia Caifeng, que está paralizada, junto con su silla de ruedas, en la puerta del patio de Ma Fengying.
