Deep Mountain Carpenter: Lost Mastery Shocks the Entire Village
The main beam of Qingxi Village's century-old ancestral hall develops a crack. Lin Chen, the village carpenter, faces ridicule and skepticism from the villagers but steps forward to repair the dangerous beam using a long-lost ancient dovetail wedge-locking technique, astonishing the entire village. He politely declines a lucrative job offer and remains committed to rural life, while also taking the initiative to repair desks and chairs at the local school. With everyone's support, his traditional carpentry is recognized as intangible cultural heritage, and a handicraft center is established in the village. Lin Chen takes on numerous apprentices and passes down his craft, driving the development of rural cultural tourism and allowing the ancient spirit of craftsmanship to endure and shine anew deep in the mountains.
