Rain-Tracing Letters, Light-Tracing Sunshine and Rain
Because her father and stepmother forced her to get married in exchange for a bride price, Pu Yu fled to Banting Town with a letter left by her biological mother to seek refuge with her non-blood-related grandmother, Li Suhua. Upon arriving at the small town, she bumped into a young man, Yuan Su, being chased by debt collectors. In her haste, she falsely claimed that the police were looking for him to help him out of trouble, and later discovered that the two were neighbors. Because his father gambled away the family fortune and ran away, Yuan Su carried huge debts alone, which caused him—originally a top student—to become isolated and apathetic. Pu Yu's arrival broke his enclosed life. Supporting each other through daily life and striving together for their college entrance goals, they gradually walked out of their respective life dilemmas amid the bustling atmosphere of the small town, reaping warm family affection, friendship, and love.
