Technician Lu Yuan and his brother Zhao Qiang spent three years working together to develop a core system that brought their company to the brink of going public. But Zhao Qiang betrayed him, replacing Lu Yuan's promised 30% equity stake with experience cards as dividends to humiliate him. Lu Yuan resigns and withdraws his personal patents, bringing the company to a standstill.
