Su Jinnian, the 50-year-old reclusive chairman of Dingsheng Group, hid his wealth for years to take care of all the housework at home, only to be utterly despised by his son Su Moyu's family. Heartbroken on his birthday, he cuts off all support to them and steps back up to reclaim control of the conglomerate. At his return banquet, Su Moyu tries to curry favor with the mysterious tycoon by offering to become his godson, only to discover the benefactor is his own father, while the 10-billion-yuan funding support goes to the kind-hearted mother and daughter, Chu Yun and her child. After Su Moyu's family goes bankrupt and falls into dire straits, they repeatedly demand money to no avail, leading them to spread rumors, slander, and ultimately commit kidnapping and extortion out of desperation. In the end, Su Moyu takes a knife blow to save his father and repents, while Su Jinnian lets go of the past and joins hands with Chu Yun to start a brand new life.
