Honest Wang Xiangdong was bound for half his life in his past life by the four big characters "an elder brother is like a father." At the time of his death, relying on the wealth and support accumulated by Wang Xiangdong over half his life, his two younger brothers each headed toward a moderately prosperous life, while Wang Xiangdong, due to overwork and no money for medical treatment, died a miserable death on the eve of New Year's Eve. Through a chance accident, Wang Xiangdong returns to 1985. This time, Wang Xiangdong decisively abandons his selfish two younger brothers and reorganizes the family. Relying on his mastery of future information, he founds a traditional Chinese medicine herb factory, exposes his gold-digging, hypocritical widow girlfriend, and wins a new lover. This time, Wang Xiangdong is no longer a cowardly good-for-nothing, but an advanced entrepreneur leading the whole village to prosperity.
