Fifty-Seven Years Old, Restart
Zhou Guilan helped her son buy a house and lived there for eight years taking care of her grandson. After her grandson started school, her son felt that having her at home was inconvenient, yet he was unwilling to bear the reputation of driving an elderly person away, so he intentionally created the illusion that the elderly woman was becoming senile. Accidentally overhearing a conversation, she realized she was not senile, and that all of this was solely to force her to move out. Heartbroken, she left to find a job and arrange her life. But once she stopped caring, her son realized that what they had driven away was not a redundant elderly person, but the family's greatest pillar of support.
