Gu Jingchen, the young heir to a prominent Hong Kong business empire, has harbored a secret love for Su Muyan since childhood, yet his stubborn pride has always kept him from confessing his true feelings. Three years ago on the eve of their engagement, he pretended not to love her simply to guard against Su Xijun and secretly protect her, leaving Su Muyan heartbroken and driving her abroad. Three years later, Su Muyan returns home to reclaim the Fanxing Group, only to run into Gu Jingchen at the airport deliberately acting like a playboy just to provoke her. Surrounded by fake girlfriends, his sharp words sting her at every turn, repeatedly making things difficult with an apparent cold detachment. Behind the scenes, however, he quietly clears away business obstacles for her—feigning intimacy with others while remaining hopelessly trapped in his own obsessive, unspoken devotion.
