Genius doctor Li Xinyue travels back in time to become a military wife in the 1970s (Li Xinye), only to find herself neglected by her husband for five years. Her military officer husband, Chen Mingchuan, left the very day after their wedding night after being forced into bed by the original host, disappearing for five whole years. He left behind a frail, emaciated son and an insufferably demanding family. Knowing Chen Mingchuan never loved the original host—and that the child was conceived only because she drugged him—and seeing that he hasn't returned home in five years, Li Xinyue decides: if there's no love, it's time for a divorce!
