The male lead, Xu Yang, is an extraordinarily skilled chef who runs the bustling Xu's Homestyle Restaurant. His eldest uncle hosts a college banquet for his son and morally coerces Xu Yang into providing money and labor, hoping to freeload the feast and pocket the gift money. After the banquet, his uncle defaults on over 100,000 yuan in expenses. Xu Yang presents solid evidence to expose his relatives' scheming in public and recovers every penny. Rejecting emotional extortion, he focuses on his career and builds his restaurant into an even greater success.
