Upon learning the truth, Su Wan was filled with guilt, but her surviving sister Su Jingyue, hidden in the mansion, insisted on forcing Su Wan to take revenge, repeatedly poisoning and assassinating Lu Chenyuan. Until Lu Chenyuan produced confidential archives to clarify all past events, Su Jingyue suddenly saw the light, let go of her hatred, and entrusted Su Wan to him.
